Nigerian greenhouse
A leading Chinese agricultural technology company, HONGYANG GREENHOUSE, announced today that it has reached a landmark cooperation agreement with film greenhouse Nigerian agricultural investors. The agreement involves designing and constructing a modern agricultural greenhouse facility covering an area of 20,000 square meters in the southern region of Nigeria, along with providing comprehensive technical and planting support.
The core of this project is to build a pointed-roof, film greenhouse multi-storey plastic greenhouse adapted to the tropical climate. This design will integrate efficient film greenhouse forced ventilation and film greenhouse cooling systems to cope with the high temperature and high humidity conditions in Nigeria, creating an ideal environment for the year-round high yield of high-value crops. Experts believe that such technology-intensive agricultural projects are key to solving the country's self-sufficiency rate in food production and promoting agricultural exports.
"We are very pleased to bring our agricultural greenhouses technical expertise to Nigeria," said HONGYANG. "This agricultural greenhouse project is not just an infrastructure; it is a complete agricultural solution. The membrane greenhouse structure we provide is the foundation, but more importantly, we will transfer knowledge and train local talents to ensure the long-term sustainability and profitability of the project."
It is reported that this project agricultural greenhouses will be exclusively dedicated to cultivating high-demand and film greenhouse economically valuable vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers, and bell peppers. The agricultural greenhouses project plan includes a one-year comprehensive technical service, covering every aspect from seed selection, water and fertilizer management to integrated pest management (IPM), to ensure a smooth start and operation.
The general manager of the Nigerian partner is highly optimistic about this project: "This is an exciting advancement for our country's agricultural sector. Traditional open-field agriculture is severely constrained by climate change and seasonal variations. This modern agricultural greenhouse will enable us to control the environment, reduce pests and diseases, and significantly increase yield and quality. The film greenhouse technology we chose achieves the best film greenhouse balance in terms of economy and efficiency, and is perfectly suited to our needs."
The implementation of this project is expected to create a large number of direct and indirect jobs, and is also likely to reduce the reliance on imports by producing agricultural greenhouses high-quality agricultural products, and even provide off-season vegetables to the European and Middle Eastern markets, thereby enhancing Nigeria's agricultural export agricultural greenhouses capabilities.
